The costs of the programme predominately fall to the local authority but some costs will be met centrally.           

The main areas of expenditure for authorities are:

• Employment of a coach
• Coaches' development
• Participant self evaluation
• Participants Professional Learning Plan activity

The main areas of expenditure that are met centrally are:

• Overall Project Management
• Initial coach training
• Residential events
• Assessment

Time Commitment

Participants will spend 5 days at national events throughout the programme and meet with their coach for a half day every 2 weeks. They will also work in their own local authority networks but the frequency of these meetings will be decided locally. It will take between 18 and 22 months to complete the programme

Coaches will spend 7 days at national events throughout the programme. They will also join a coach network with other local authority coaches which will meet monthly for the first 6 months and less frequently as they develop through the programme. They wil be expected to meet with each participant that they are coaching for a half day every 2 weeks. They will also be expected to be an external assessor to particpants from other lcoal authrotities and this will mean a time commitment of about 5 days.
