The following are general FAQs relating to the programm. If you have further questions that you would like answered then please email Kathryn.Healy@cosla.gov.uk and she will reply to you as soon as possible.
General Information
Q How long does the programme take to complete?
A This will be up to the participant but in general 18 to 20 months?
Q Who allocates the coach to the participant?
A The local authority will arrange for this.
Q How often do participants meet with their coach and for how long?
A It will be beneficial to meet with your coach about once every two weeks and for meetings to last about 2 hours.
Q What does the assessment process involve?
A Participants will be expected to produce written commentary on their practice with a portfolio to support this. There will also be a field visit undertaken to their school to meet with colleagues and pupils and finally there is a professional interview chaired by the GTCS.
